Our Patio Project
One of the highlights of moving is that our new patio actually has some dirt. I love playing in the dirt only not with Hot Wheels anymore. I like to garden <-----Metro Sexual Statement (I know) but hey I like to make the garden look good. Anyway I thought it would be fun to post some "Before" pictures. The whole dirt area was covered with large gravel from the last tenant being here for over 10 years. I guess it was low maintenance huh. So out with the gravel and in with some plants, stepping stones etc. I was able to build some pretty cool trellises for about $20.00 each compliments of some of my birthday money :) We are going to plant some vines along the back of the wall. More to follow...

The Perfect 35th Birthday 2 of 2
We finished the weekend celebrating my birthday by being treated to a party boat and BBQ picnic at the Mission Viejo Lake by the Yates family. It was another finger lick'n meal compliments of Julie. As you can see by the pictures the party boat was a lot of fun too although we had a couple passengers that weren't so sure about my driving :)
Needless to say it was an awesome birthday weekend.

The Perfect 35th Birthday 1 of 2

My 35th Birthday Ugh!
I can remember when I was a child wishing and wondering, when am I going to be older? It seemed as if it would never happen. Then it seems like you wake up the next day and puff your 35 years old not 25 but 35 laugh out loud. It seems like we always think about this on our special day as we get older. While enjoying my day I found myself really cherishing each moment, each smile and even the facial expressions on my families faces as if I was looking through a camera making a movie. I really have a lot of things to be grateful for. For example I received carefully chosen cards, gifts and phone calls from each of my family members and close friends expressing their love for me. And... I was treated to Lucille's by my mother in law Donna which I think is my favorite restaurant. What a special treat. I thought I died and went to New Orleans, seriously if you haven't eaten at Lucille's you are missing out! They marinate their chicken in BBQ sauce for 24 hours and it's finger lick'n good. On top of that they make an incredible sweet tea. After lunch I was then treated to a movie The Fantastic Four which was a lot of fun also. To be continued...

Mission Viejo Lake
I went on an amazing adventure to the Mission Viejo Lake. I went with Rosanne, my Aunt Kristen and one of my best friends Kelly. We rented a paddle boat and it was awesome. After we returned the paddle boat we got ice cream and I loved the ice cream. Kelly and I swam in the lake. We thought it was very fun.

Kendra's 6th grade graduation

We kicked the summer off with Kendra's 6th grade graduation. She will be going to junior high school next year. She was treated to an "Up Do" and some fancy jewelry and new clothes. We are very proud of how hard she worked!
